01.02.21 – Interaction of Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response with Kaspersky Endpoint Agent for Windows and Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows #KMDR

lundi 1 février 2021

In the latest versions of Kaspersky Endpoint Agent for Windows and Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows, we have added a function that allows you to transfer interaction with Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response from Kaspersky Endpoint Agent to Kaspersky Endpoint Security.

If Kaspersky Endpoint Agent and Kaspersky Endpoint Security are installed on the same computer and Kaspersky Endpoint Security can interact with Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response, this function will be disabled in Kaspersky Endpoint Agent.

The function is available after updating databases in Kaspersky Endpoint Security. If Kaspersky Endpoint Security and Kaspersky Endpoint Agent are installed on the same computer, Kaspersky Endpoint Agent will interact with Kaspersky Managed Detection and Response until the databases in Kaspersky Endpoint Security are updated. Switching between Kaspersky Endpoint Agent and Kaspersky Endpoint Security is performed in the silent mode: a user does not get any notifications.

The function is available:

  • After updating the databases for Kaspersky Endpoint Security versions 11–11.5
  • After installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security version 11.6
  • After installing Kaspersky Endpoint Agent version 3.10. The application can identify and disable this function automatically.
